Homework 3

Hi Students. This week, we learned how to understand the main idea of a conversation or lecture. Your homework this week is to listen to this short lecture, then write what you think is the main idea. Also, become a follower of this site. Put your picture on there if you want to.

Please remember, this is due by next Thursday at 10pm. Don't wait until the last minute to do it.

I think 'what shipbreaker do?' is mainidea of first lecture.
And second is difference between direct taxation and indirect taxation. And in last lecture, They talk about edward hopper's picture.

Hi~ John! I'm michelle.
I have listened this recording time and time again, because I'm not good at listening, :D so I tried to figure out what main idea is.

There are three lectures.

The first one's main idea :
The meaning of a shipbreak in archaeology.

The second one's main idea :
The definition of direct and indirect taxation.

The third one's main idea :
Edward Hopper's paintings and his lifestyle related to his paintings.

I'm not sure these are correct answers. I hope these are correct!

Hi this is Bear T.T

1. One president who is diver too, talk all about ship break.
And he describe that value of ship break is time capsule.

2. Taxation.
For direct taxation is person or organization pay tax to gerverment directly.( president who earns incomes considered income tax.)
And for indirect taxation is customer pay for something already include some tax with.(what if someone import perfume from france,
customer paying include import tax with the price.)

3. Students in art class should answer who the artist is, what
the name of painting is.
professor prepare two paint,
also they should tell her
what sort of reaction do they have when they see it.

it was tough to me T.T
I missed 10 min, I hope that it'll

Indirect : costs of taxes is paid by someone.
